About The Designery North Charlotte

Michael Simcox, owner of The Designery North Charlotte, brings more than 25 years of experience in real estate, workplace design, and residential remodeling to the Charlotte market. His career has given him a unique perspective on design—combining the discipline and scale of corporate real estate with the personal nature of creating spaces people truly live in.

Before The Designery North Charlotte, Michael spent much of his career designing and managing corporate real estate projects across the country, including the renovation of a 281,000-square-foot office building in Charlotte’s University City. In partnership with Choate Construction, the project earned WELL Gold Certification, focused on the building and occupants health, recognized as the first with a WELL Gold-certified corporate office in the Southeast.

That experience shaped Michael’s approach to design: great spaces should work beautifully, feel intentional, and reflect the people who use them. His work is grounded in thoughtful planning, careful material selection, and a belief that the best designs balance beauty with how people actually live.

Today, Michael brings that same perspective to kitchens, baths, and closets throughout North Charlotte. His goal is not simply to create beautiful spaces, but to help clients make thoughtful, lasting investments in their homes—spaces that function effortlessly, feel distinctly their own, and create the backdrop for the experiences and memories of everyday life.

At The Designery North Charlotte, Michael works closely with homeowners, builders, and professional trades to bring that vision together from concept through completion, with an emphasis on design, craftsmanship, communication, and an exceptional client experience.
