Aria Blue Kitchen & Dining Room

What was once a dark, disconnected kitchen became a bright, welcoming space. The original layout featured an awkward peninsula, a corner oven, multiple flooring heights, and separate kitchen and dining spaces that made the room cramped and inefficient. The homeowner wanted to preserve a dedicated dining area while dramatically improving storage, functionality, and the overall flow of the home. Working alongside a trusted general contractor, The Designery Quakertown helped completely redesign the space into the homeowner's dream kitchen. 

The only wish-list item from the homeowners was blue cabinetry, so for hardware, flooring, and countertops they remained open to creative design solutions that would best accomplish their goals. The result is a sophisticated kitchen featuring Aria Blue cabinetry paired with rose gold hardware, polished quartz countertops, and a warm luxury vinyl plank flooring that adds depth to the room. To help maximize the renovation budget, the homeowner opted for a shiplap backsplash in place of a full tile installation, allowing the homeowner to invest in other high-impact features while still achieving a polished, custom look. Thoughtful details, including color-matched Lutron outlets that blend seamlessly with the island and refrigerator panels, complete the refined design. 

Functionality was at the center of every design decision. Removing a wall created two convenient entry points into the kitchen, while relocating the refrigerator dramatically improved circulation throughout the space. The existing sink location was maintained to help manage costs, allowing the budget to be focused on adding a spacious island that now serves as both a prep station and valuable storage hub. By consolidating the appliance layout to include a range and built-in oven, the team was also able to maximize cabinetry with features like double cutlery drawers, tray storage, and a built-in double trash pullout that keeps everyday essentials organized and out of sight. 

One of designer Liz's favorite elements is the custom beverage station, which balances open wine storage with enclosed cabinetry for tumblers and entertaining essentials. The design embraces a functional balance that offers a wider variety of storage solutions. For owner Rebecca Merola, the most rewarding part of the project was watching a friend's vision come to life and seeing how thoughtful design could positively impact everyday life. Together, the finished kitchen proves that exceptional design goes beyond beautiful finishes to creating spaces that effortlessly improve daily life.
