Modern, Chic, and Designed to Gather

With a rare opportunity to start from the ground up, this Palmetto Bay kitchen remodel allowed The Designery Miami to create a space entirely around the way the home would be used. The finished kitchen is open, highly functional, and designed with entertainment at its core. A dramatic 12-foot island establishes the room as a natural gathering place, providing generous workspace and seating while giving the kitchen a strong architectural focal point. Light wood cabinetry, crisp white surfaces, and carefully placed green accents create a sophisticated palette that feels fresh without sacrificing warmth. 

The cabinetry combines traditional influences with modern details to give the kitchen a look that feels both classic and current. Slim Shaker doors provide a streamlined take on a familiar style, while arched pinch-pull hardware adds an unexpected contemporary detail. A custom hood anchors the cooking area, and a paneled dishwasher allows the appliances to blend seamlessly into the cabinetry. Throughout the space, symmetry and scale were carefully considered to give the kitchen the polished, intentional appearance of a truly custom design. 

The walk-in pantry adds another layer of functionality while becoming a design moment of its own. Green cabinetry brings a subtle pop of color into the neutral palette, while the space provides a practical landing area for groceries and can easily function as a coffee or beverage station.  

Quartz countertops and a matching countersplash continue the clean, sophisticated aesthetic, while a three-inch ledge detail adds just enough visual interest to keep the surfaces from feeling minimalistic. Checkerboard flooring introduces another layer of character and gives the kitchen a distinctly collected feel. 

For the design team, the freedom to rethink the space without being constrained by existing plumbing or appliance locations made this project especially rewarding. Every element—from the scale of the island to the hidden refrigerator and custom pantry—was considered part of one cohesive design. The result is a kitchen that feels effortless when entertaining but remains highly functional for everyday life. It is a strong example of what is possible when a kitchen remodel in Miami begins with the opportunity to design around the space rather than around its limitations.
